Buzy day
26-08-05 To add to the UEFA cup draw excitement, news has broken to day that

b) Croatian centre half Igor Tudor is apparently due to arrive on a years loan from Juventus.

Show me The Way To.. Plovdiv?
26-08-05 And I dare say they don't know where Bolton is either. Nevertheless Bolton have drawn Lokomotiv Plovdiv of Bulgaria in the final qualifying round of the UEFA cup group phase. Bolton will play the first tie at home and it appears the second tie will be in Sofia, since Plovdiv's ground isn't UEFA certified. Here are a couple of pics of the draw, for posterity's sake...
Bolton out of the draw

That's Better
24-08-05 An improved performance from Bolton and goals from Diouf and Stelios led to a 2-0 win against Newcastle at the Reebok. Faye and Borgetti both made their premiership debuts. Faye came on when Jaidi was injured and performed well at the centre of defense. Borgetti only got 5 minutes of play but still looked a good prospect.

22-08-05 Despite having the majority of the play and making - and missing - several good chances, Bolton lost 1-0 at home to Everton Sunday lunchtime.

new Season Starts in a Rush
14-08-05 Bolton kicked off the new season with a 2-2 draw away at Aston Villa. Davies and Campo scored for the Wanderers in between goals from Phillips and Davis for Villa. All the goals came in the first 10 minutes of the game. The report along with the new version of the website will be uploaded some time in the week. No time today, I've been at the test match :).

Ballestra Blasts Back
03-08-05 Salva Ballestra returned to the Reebok last night as Malaga played Bolton is a rather rain sodden friendly. Salva scored for the Spaniards in the first half, but his goal was cancelled out by a Gary Speed goal and Henrick Pedersen finished well late on to give Bolton the win. After losing away at Hull (1-0) and to Bury (2-1) in their previous pre-season games this was very welcome.
