Cahill Due Back For the Weekend

Gary Cahill is apparently back in training after his blood clot problem (apparently cured by removing one of his ribs. Don’t ask me, I’m not a doctor) and is in line for a recall for the game against Everton at the weekend. If it was me, I’d continue with Ricketts and Knight who have both been fine recently and put Cahill on the bench.

Cahill Out For The Season?

It has emerged that the reason Gary Cahill missed the game with Fulham at the weekend was that he was victim to a serious blood clot in his arm on Friday, which led to him being hospitalised. This is a condition which is generally treated with medication rather than surgery but has a rather long recovery time. It is possible Cahill may not be fit to play again this season. Davies Injury Not as Bad as Feared

The ankle injury Mark Davies suffered in the Arsenal game is apparently not as bad as it might otherwise have been - the ankle is not broken. However reports suggest some ligament damage and that Davies will be out of action for a couple of months.

What a Swine

Some newspaper reports suggest Bolton have become victim the swine flu pandemic, with at least four players likely to miss the Carling Cup game at Chelsea tomorrow night. Sean Davies Out For The Season?

Newspaper reports suggest Sean Davies has had surgery on a knee injury he sustained playing against Liverpool and may not play again this season. Bad luck for him but possibly good luck for commentators.

Gardner Out For a Month

It is reported Ricardo Gardner has damaged a hamstring and will be missing for at least three weeks.
