Well. I'm glad that's over. Wanderers hard run of fixtures against the top 6 is now done, although it has left Bolton bottom of the premier league. The final game was another one-sided affair, with Bolton losing 5-1 to Chelsea at the Reebok. Four first half goals - two from Frank Lampard and two from ex-Wanderer Daniel Sturridge (including one after only a minute of play) meant the game was effectively over before the break. Dedryck Boyata scored with a header early in the second half but the fightback was limited and Lampard completed his hat-trick soon after. Bolton should have had a second as Kevin Davies had a shot 'cleared' from behind the goal line which the referee failed to spot but it wouldn't have changed the result at all.
